OUR VISION

We want to see incoming students find a place to grow in a relationship with Jesus in Athens.

We are guided by the four pillars of our vision frame: Our Mission, Our Motives, Our Map and Our Marks.

01

OUR MISSION

Our mission at The ARCH Retreat is to foster meaningful connection among first-year students and send a new generation of believers into UGA’s campus to reflect Christ and exemplify what it means to enter by the narrow gate.

02

OUR MOTIVES

Our values shape the way we serve students and our communities. They inform our mission as we act to follow Christ within the greater church of Athens.

Humility

We know we cannot do what God has for us in our own strength. God has the power, we submit to His authority.

Obedience

We understand that God does not want our own performance, but wants us to obey Him as He invites us to join Him where He is already at work around us.

Reliance

We rely on God for our outcomes. We know the gap between love and humility is filled with prayer, asking God for what we cannot do on our own.

Servanthood

We have a desire to enrich the lives of those around us. We follow Jesus’ example in servant leadership to care for the needs and interests of others.

Entrepreneurialism

We are willing to risk trying new ideas in hopes of finding better ways to reach others, that they might know the surpassing worth of the love of God.
